Pear Appliqué

  They would be great for applying to any projects or as home decor for example decorating kitchen curtains, dishcloths, etc. or making them into fridge magnets.

SIZE
The pear measures approx. 1.5” inches from its widest point and 3" long but size can vary based on yarn and hook size.

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 3.0mm
*Worsted weight yarn: small amounts of nude, light green, green, brown and black
*Tapestry Needle

PATTERN NOTES
  Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round or row indicate the total number of stitches for that round or row.

PEAR (start with nude)
  Rnd 1: ch 10 (10)
  Rnd 2: sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 2chs, hdc in next 2chs, dc in next 2chs, tr in next ch, 6tr in last ch, other side of the chs tr in next ch, dc in next 2chs, hdc in next 2chs, sc in next 2chs, 3sc in last ch, in last sc change to light green (24)
  Rnd 3: sc in next 8sts, 2sc in next 2sts, sl st in next 2sts, 2sc in next 2sts, sc in next 10sts (28)
  Rnd 4: sl st in only the first st to give it a even look
F/O, secure and weave in ends.

STEM (brown)
  ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (3)
F/O, secure and weave in ends.

LEAVES (green) make 2
  ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, ch1, dc in next ch, sl st in last ch
F/O, secure and weave in ends.

ASSEMBLY
  With black yarn embroidery the seeds. Sew the stem to the top back part of the pear. Finally sew the leaves on the side of the stem. If you're going to make it into a fridge magnet glue a small magnet in the back.
I made them into fridge magnets to hold my son's (he's 5years old) masterpieces. :)
