Donut forget I love you Plushie

     For those who love cute things, this little donut is the perfect size to hold on your palm or attach to your bag as a keychain and be your traveling companion. You can also make a small blanket and attach it to make a lovey for your little one.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
approx. 3.5"width x 3.5"length x 1.4" height

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 3.5mm (E)
*Worsted Weight Yarn: Beige (30yds), Petal Pink (14yds) & scraps of yarn any color for the sprinkles
*Stitch Markers to mark your rounds
*Felt: Black & Red
*Fiberfill
*Tapestry Needle
*Matching Thread
*Hot Glue

PATTERN NOTES - must-read...
 Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round/row indicate the total number of stitches.
 Always use stitch markers to mark your rounds.
 There's no need to sl st and/or ch when going to the next round unless stated to do so.
 Always do the 1st stitch where you slip stitch from the previous round.
 The chain, in the beginning, does NOT count as one stitch unless stated otherwise.
 You slip stitch on the first sc, not on top of the chain 1.

DONUT with beige

ch18, sl st into the 1st st to form a ring

  Rnd 1: ch1, sc in each ch around (18)

  Rnd 2: sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st around (24)

  Rnd 3: 2sc in each st around (48)

  Rnd 4-11: sc in each st around (48)

  Rnd 12: sc2tog around (24)

  Rnd 13: sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog around (18)

  Rnd 14: sc in next st, sc2tog around (12)

F/O, leave a long tail for sewing. Fill with stuffing and sew both layers together. As you're sewing, add any stuffing needed to finish shaping the donut.

ICING with pink or color of choice

ch12, sl st into the 1st st to form a ring

  Rnd 1: ch1, sc in each ch around (12)

  Rnd 2: sc in next st, 2sc in next st around (18)

  Rnd 3: sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st around (24)

  Rnd 4: 2sc in each st around (48)

  Rnd 5: sc in each st around (48)

Going to simplify this round a bit since it's a bit much. For example, sc without an "x2" means you will only work one sc or that stitch indicated. "sc x2" means single crochet in the next 2 stitches.

  Rnd 6: sc x2, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st x2, ch x2, dc, ch x2, sl st, sc x5, hdc, dc x2, ch x2, sl st, sc x3, ch x2, dc, hdc, sc, sl st, sc, hdc, sc, sl st, sc x4, ch x2, dc, ch x2, sl st, sc x3, dc x2, sc x2, ch, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st

F/O, leave a long tail for sewing.

ASSEMBLE
     I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
     TIP...For anything that I’m going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.

     EYES/MOUTH...these can be done however you like; the possibilities are endless. You can search online for "kawaii faces" or anything along those lines to get some ideas.

     BLUSH...you can use pink felt and make tiny circles or you can use makeup blush and apply some on each side of the eyes. You can also embroider lines with thread.

     SPRINKLES...embroider them on top of the icing in random patterns and colors like sprinkles.

*Crochet hook size: 2.75mm (C) & 3.25mm (D)
*Worsted weight yarn: Beige White (10yds), Light Brown (3yds)
*Felt: Light Brown, Purple & Black
*Tapestry Needle
*Matching Thread
*Hot Glue (optional)
*Makeup Blush & Q-tip (optional)

BREAD SLICES starting with white; 3.25mm
     Follow the pattern for my 'Toasted Bread Slice Applique' and make 2 bread slices. Once you have made them follow the assemble process below to turn them into the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.


ASSEMBLE
     I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
     TIP...For anything that I’m going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on a white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.
     PEANUT BUTTER and JELLY SPREAD...using a light brown and purple (color of choice for your jelly) felt, make your spread in any shape and form. Don't glue it in place just yet.
     EYES...using black felt make 4 tiny circles and place them in the position you like best.
     MOUTH...using black embroidery floss or thread, embroider the mouth. Make it however you like, the possibilities are endless.
     CHEEKS...you can use pink felt and make tiny circles or you can use makeup blush and apply some on each side of the eyes using a q-tip.

     CHEEKS...you can use pink felt and make tiny circles or you can use makeup blush and apply some on each side of the eyes.

     SEED...this part you can make it however you like (oval or heart shape, etc.) in the colors you desired. I'm making mine heart shaped with light brown and cream color felt. Glue them on the lower portion of the avocado just above round 2.

     EYES...using black felt make the eyes. You can play around with it and make them however you like, the possibilities are endless. I simply made tiny circles.

     MOUTH...using black embroidery floss or thread, create the mouth. Make it however you like, the possibilities are endless.

     BOW...make a little bow and you can either sew it on or glue it in place in the upper top left corner of one of the avocados.

     CHEEKS...you can use pink felt and make tiny circles or you can use makeup blush and apply some on each side of the eyes. You can put blush on both or just the one you put a bow on.

Sweet Heart Applique

     Start your Valentine’s Day crocheting with these sweet crochet hearts. They only take about 3 minutes to make and use less than 3 yards of yarn. They will not only motivate you but they will make the perfect embellishment for nearly any project. Here are a few ideas on how to use them...

Pull as tightly as possible so no hole is showing through from the magic ring.
If you want to attach a lollipop to the back of the heart, don't cut off the ends. Instead, use them to tie the lollipop in place. If not, then proceed to... F/O, secure and weave in the ends through the back of your heart.

This is done in the back loops. Attach yarn on the 11th st, sc, ch5, sc on 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 chs, sl st in same st you attach

EARS with gray
This is done in the back loops and all in the same st. Attach yarn on the 2nd st, sc, ch2, sl st on 2nd ch from hook, sc in same st
F/O, secure and weave in the ends. Repeat the same process on the 28th st.

ASSEMBLE
     I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing or gluing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best. (Most people like to use the yarn in the end from the finish pieces to sew them in place but I personally like to use matching thread).
     Tip...I like to first trace the body part I’m going to be working on in a white paper and make a stencil of what I need (any spot in particular). Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.
     STRIPES ON TAIL & SPOTS…using black felt cut out stripes and 2 half circles. Glue them in the position you like best.

     EYES…using embroidery floss, embroider the eyes between round 1 and 2,
     MOUTH…embroider it using the floss right between the center of the eyes.

     Using the embroidery floss, embroider 3 stripes above the eyes and the whiskers on the side.

     LEGS…embroider them in the position you like best.

    Using pink felt, cut out a small heart and glue it in the position you like best.
     Embroider arms right next to the heart making it seem like she’s holding it.
     OPTIONAL…using blush and a q-tip, add a tiny little bit of blush right underneath the eyes.
