Round Plush Keroppi

     For those who love cute things, Keroppi is the perfect size to hold on your palm or attach to your bag as a keychain and be your traveling companion. You can also make a small blanket and attach him to make a lovey for your little one.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
approx. 3.25"height x 3.25"length

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 3.5mm (E)
*Worsted Weight Yarn: Pea Green (28yds), Red (17yds), White (5yds) & Black (3yds)
*Stitch Markers to mark your rounds
*Felt: Black
*Fiberfill
*Tapestry Needle
*Matching Thread
*Hot Glue

*Makeup Blush & Q-tip (optional)

PATTERN NOTES - must-read...
 Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round/row indicate the total number of stitches.
 Always use stitch markers to mark your rounds.
 There's no need to sl st and/or ch when going to the next round unless stated to do so.
 Always do the 1st stitch where you slip stitch from the previous round.
 The chain, in the beginning, does NOT count as one stitch unless stated otherwise.
 You slip stitch on the first sc, not on top of the chain 1.

HEAD/BODY starting with pea green

  Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)

  Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around (12)

  Rnd 3: sc in next st, 2sc in next st around (18)

  Rnd 4: sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st around (24)

  Rnd 5: sc in next 3 sts, 2sc in next st around (30)

  Rnd 6: sc in next 4 sts, 2sc in next st around (36)

  Rnd 7: sc in next 11 sts, 2sc in next st around (39)

  Rnd 8-11: sc in each st around, in last st of rnd 11 change to red (39)

  Rnd 12: sl st in each st around (39)

  Rnd 13: working in the back loops only of the sl st's from rnd 12, sc in each st around (39)

  Rnd 14: sc in each st around (39)

  Rnd 15: sc in next 11 sts, sc2tog around (36)

  Rnd 16: sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog around (30)

  Rnd 17: sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog around (24)

Start stuffing the head/body moderately firm.

  Rnd 18: sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog around (18)

  Rnd 19: sc in next st, sc2tog around (12)

  Rnd 20: sc2tog around (6)

F/O and leave a tail for closing. Add any bits of stuffing need it to finish shaping the head/body. Weave in the tail through the final round and draw up tight to close. Secure and weave in the ends.

FEET with pea green; make 2

  Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)

  Rnd 2: 3sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts around (10)

  Rnd 3: sc in each st around (10)

There is no need to stuff the feet.

  Row 1: flatten to match up the stitches and *sc in next st, ch2, sl st into 2nd ch, sc in same st, sl st in next st* repeat from * to * 1 more time, sc in last st, ch2, sl st into 2nd st, sc in same st

F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

ARMS with pea green; make 2

  Rnd 1: 5sc in magic ring (5)

  Rnd 2-3: sc in each st around (5)

There is no need to stuff the arms.

  Row 1: flatten to match up the stitches just like we did for the feet and sc across, turn (3)

  Row 2: *ch2, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next st* repeat from * to * 2 more times

F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

EYES with white; make 2

  Rnd 1: 5sc in magic ring (5)

  Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around (10)

  Rnd 3: working in the back loops only sc in each st around (10)

There is no need to stuff the eyes.

F/O, weave in the tail through the final round and draw up tight to close. Leaving the tail for sewing.

BOW with black

  Row 1: ch6, dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 3 chs, ch2, sl st in last st

F/O, secure and weave in the ends. With a strand of yarn about 5" long wrap several times through the middle of the bow and secure with a knot. Weave in ends.


ASSEMBLE
     I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
     TIP...For anything that I’m going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on a white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.

     FEET...try to find the position you like best. I place mine between round 18 and 19; approx. 0.25" apart. Only sew the 2 last rounds from the feet (leaving the flat area unsew).

     ARMS...place them on round 13 and 14.

     EYES...find the center of the head/body and place them on round 7. Sew them in place but keep inmind that you will be leaving most of the eyes unsew.

     PUPILS to EYES...using black felt, make 2 tiny circles, and glued them in the position you like best.     

     BOW...place it between round 13 and 14. Only sew the center of the bow to the head/body.

     MOUTH...using black embroidery floss or thread, embroider the smile.

     BLUSH...add a little blush underneath the eyes using makeup blush and a q-tip. Or you can use pink felt.

Frog Appliqué

  These would be great for applying to any projects or as home decor for example beach bag, towels, etc. or making them into fridge magnets.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
approx. size: 1.75"H x 2.25"W but can vary based on yarn and hook size

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 3.0mm
*Worsted weight yarn: Light Green & White
*Stitch markers to mark your rounds
*Tapestry Needle
*Thin Black Sharpie
*Felt: Red
*Matching Thread: White
*Embroidery Floss: Black
*Hot Glue
*Magnet (optional)

PATTERN NOTES

  You ALWAYS do the first stitch where you slip stitch from the previous round.

Keroppi Zippered Wristlet

Birthday present for my older sister.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS

Horizontally 7.5" and  4.5" vertically.

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size 3.5mm
*Worsted weight yarn: Green, White, Black, & Red
*2 small black buttons
*Zipper 18cm length
*Fabric of choice
*Stitch Marker to mark your rounds
*Tapestry Needle

PATTERN NOTES
  Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round or row indicate the total number of stitches for that round or row.

WRISTLET
  Rnd 1: ch 31, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next 28chs, 3hdc in next ch, hdc in next 28chs, 2hdc in last ch, sl st into the first st (62)
  Rnd 2-12: ch 1, hdc in the same stitch you sl st, hdc around, sl st into the fist st of previous rnd (62)
  Rnd 13-14: ch1, sc in the same stitch you sl st, sc around, sl st into the first st of previous rnd (62)
  Rnd 15: ch1, 3hdc in the same stitch you sl st, *sl st in next sc, 3hdc in next sc* repeat from * to * all the way around
F/O and weave in ends.

EYES make 2
  Rnd 1: 9hdc in magic ring, sl st into the first st (9)
  Rnd 2: ch1, 2hdc in same stitch you sl st, 2hdc in each hdc around, sl st into the first st of previous rnd (18)
  Rnd 3: ch1, hdc in same stitch you sl st, hdc in each hdc around, sl st into the first st of previous rnd (18)
F/O and weave in ends.

STRAP
  ch 53 (or chain to desire length), sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (52)
F/O and leave a tail to sew the strap unto the wristlet. When folded is measures 6".
 
ASSEMBLY
  I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have it in the position you like best before sewing.
  Sew the buttons to the white eye part as shown on pictures. White part of the eye is sewn between round 7 and 12.
  Embroidery the mouth and the cheeks lines. The mouth place it in round 2 and 4 and the cheeks lines between round 6 and 7.
  Now you can pin the zipper and fabric in place to begin the sewing. This took me awhile cause I'm a perfectionist and I had to sew it by hand since I don't own a sewing machine. But this would keep your items from falling out.
  Sew the strap on wristlet.

For hand sewing it, I did a pretty good job. :)
