ASSEMBLE
I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
TIP...For anything that I’m going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on a white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.
EARS...there's no need to stuff them, simply flatten them out. Place them between round 5 and 8.
TUMMY SPOT...with a cream felt make a circle with a diameter of 2.75". Place it between round 12 and 18.
FEET...try to find the position you like best. I place mine between round 17 and 18; approx. 1/2" apart. They'll be overlapping the tummy spot by a little bit on the sides. Only sew the 2 last rows from the feet (the flat area) to the body.
SNOUT...stuff lightly. Place it between round 11 and 14 with the hdc's facing up.
THING behind the EYES...place it between round 7 and 10 just right about the snout.
TOP of the SNOUT...place it on the top center of the snout.
ARMS...there's no need to stuff them. Align them with the feet and ears. Place them on round 11 and 12.
TAIL...place it in round 16 over on the back of the body, try to find the middle. Once it has been sewn in place, bent it in the position you like best.
EAR SPOTS...using cream felt, make 2 half oval shapes. Glue them in place on top of the crochet ears.
NOSE...using pink felt make a small rounded triangle and place it on the top of the snout; halfway between the orange and cream part of the snout.
EYEBROWS...using black felt make 2 stripes and place them on the very top of the eye thing.
EYES...using black felt make 2 circles. Place the black circles onto the eye thing above the snout on round 2; approx. 0.50 apart.
STRIPES around the BODY...using black thread or embroidery floss; add stripes to the arms, back of the body and on each side of the snout for whiskers.
