ASSEMBLE
I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
TIP...For anything that I’m going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on a white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.
EARS...stuff them moderately firm. Place them between round 4 and 8.
SPIKES...place them on the back of the head/body. From the ear down to round 10. Space them out as you like.
FEET...stuff them lightly. Place them between round 14 and 16; approx. 1.5" apart.
ARMS...no need to stuff them. Align them to the ears and place them on round 11 and 12.
TAIL...if you haven't already, stuff it lightly. Find the center of the back of the body and place it between round 14 and 16. You'll want the part that we did the increases to be facing down.
EYES...using red felt make 2 semi-circles. For the pupils make 2 tiny circles with black felt. Place the eyes in a tilted position between round 6 and 7; approx. 0.5" apart. The pupils go on the top center of the eyes.
MOUTH...using white felt, make a mouth and place it between round 9 and 11. Using black thread or embroidery floss, we are going to create lines across the mouth to make it look like teeth.

  1. Hi! Wonderful pattern! Just curious if the last two/three rounds of the tail should be 12 st instead of 10? If not, is there a decrease st to get back down to 10?
