The ch2, in the beginning, doesn't count as a stitch.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Other side of the foundation chains - this VIDEO explains how to do this technique.

 BODY with white
Rnd 1: 13hdc in magic ring, sl st into 1st st, ch2 (13)
Rnd 2: *2hdc in each st* repeat from * to * 11 more times, 3hdc in last st, sl st into 1st st (27)
Rnd 3: *sc+2hdc+sc in next st, sk next st, sl st in next st* repeat from * to * all the way around, sl st into 1st st (9 shells created)
F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

HEAD w/ EARS with beige
Row 1: ch3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 4sc in next ch, sc in next ch, ch1, turn (6)
Row 2: sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ch1, turn (8)
Row 3: sc in each st, when you get to the last st ch4 and sl st into 4th ch, sl st across the top part (flat side), ch4 and sl st into 4th ch
F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

FLUFF on top of the head with white
Rnd 1: ch4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 2sc in last st, other side of the foundation chains sc in next 2 sts, sl st into 1st st (6)
Rnd 2: *ch2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch* repeat from * to * all the way around, sl st into 1st st (6 picot sts created)
F/O, secure and weave in the ends.

ASSEMBLE
I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn in the end from the finish pieces to sew them in place but I personally like to use matching thread).
Sew the head to the body between round 1 or in the position you like best but don’t sew the ears down.
Sew the fluff just above the head. Don’t completely sew it down; just sew across the top of it.
Let’s make the little feet…by attaching the beige yarn in the back loops between round 2 and 3. ch5, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and across (4) F/O, secure and weave in the ends. Do the same for the other foot. Now if you like, you can sew the feet down so they’re not all wobbly.
With black embroidery floss let’s make those little eyes and mouth. Make a little bow and you can either sew it on or glue it in place.

GLOSSARY:
ch/s:chain/s || sc: single crochet || hdc: half double crochet || sl st: slip stitch || st/s: stitch/es
sk: skip || rnd: round || f/o: finish off

San Diego Chargers Scarf

By Janet Carrillo "damn it Janet, let's crochet!"

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
this depends on how wide/long you want it.

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 2.5mm & 5.5mm
*Worsted weight yarn: Soft Navy, Gold, & White
*Tapestry needle
*Felt: White, Navy, & Gold
*Hot Glue

PATTERN NOTES - must read...
Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round or row indicate the total number of stitches for that round or row.
The ch 2 in the beginning of each round counts as 1 hdc.

How to make the BEANIE...
Check out this post on how to make it. Enjoy. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SCARF - starting with navy blue; 5.5mm hook
Row 1: ch 25 [in the last ch change to gold], hdc in the next 3chs [in the last st change to navy blue], hdc in the next 18 chs [in the last st change to gold], hdc in the next 3chs, ch2, turn (24)
Row 2: hdc in the next 3chs [in the last st change to navy blue], hdc in the next 18 chs [in the last st change to gold], hdc in the next 3chs, ch2, turn (24)
Row 3-??: repeat row 2 til you reach desired length

LETTERS - with white; 2.5mm hook
For the letters I found several different ones online but I use these charts. Except for the letter G, I like moogly's better.

ASSEMBLY
Sew the letter in place like in the image above and use this template. Trace it into felt. Cut and glue it between the gold stripes.

NOTE: this pattern can be customized to any football team. Simply change the colors to your teams, crochet the letters, and look up a template of the logo and trace it into felt.
