Zippered Wristlet

Both are designs by me and are free patterns. :)

  Grandma saw the Keroppi Wristlet (free pattern) I made for my sister for her birthday and my Grandma love it that she wanted one but I was like "Keroppi Grandma, really? :)". I told her I would make her one but a little more simple for her to wear.
  I was going to make it brown but then I found this yarn I had stash and thought this would make a nice wristlet for her. Once finish I thought it look a bit to plain and decide to add the bird appliqué I design. I think it looks cute now but yet still simple for her to wear. Now lets just hope she loves it. :)

Where/how do I store my yarn?

  I was ask in my previous blog post (storage box), where/how do you store your yarn? Great question.
  I don't have a specific way on how to store it since I buy yarn as I need it (crazy, right. hehe). My left over yarn which I do have quite a bit I keep it in this tote that my son made me when he was 3yrs old in his 1st year of preschool (in Mexico kids do three years of preschool). In Ravelry, theirs the stash option where you take a picture of your yarn and track how much you have left of each yarn skein. This option has work great for me. But I do dream of having one day a room just for me with a wall full of yarn neatly organized by color and yarn weight. :)

Storage Box

  This weekend I went to Walmart, to buy some Valentine's cards for my son and a little gift for his teacher. I like to browse around the whole store and sometimes I find some great stuff. I was browsing and saw these amazing storage boxes with compartments. I started looking at each one and I ended up buying myself a Creative Options Grab 'N Go craft box. I absolutely love it. :)
  You open the front flap for access to three utility boxes plus on the top the lid opens for bulk storage. One of the utility boxes has several dividers to put all you little notions. Now I wont have to keep all my crochet and knitting supplies in several different bags.
  Now that I put my stuff in the storage box it seems like I hardly have anything. :( I guess as the years go on by my stash on hooks, needles and yarn would grow as big as many Ravelers have in their homes.

As you can see on the last image I added labels.

Spiny Egg

It can be modify to be as big as you want it. Just add some extra increase rounds.

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size 3.5mm
*Worsted weight yarn: Red
*Felt: White
*Fiberfill
*Tapestry Needle
*Hot Glue (optional)

PATTERN NOTES
  Gauge isn't all that important, but your hook and yarn choices should result in a fairly tight stitch so that the stuffing won't show through.
  Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round or row indicate the total number of stitches for that round or row.

EGG  (red)
  Rnd 1: 8sc in a magic ring (8)
  Rnd 2: 2sc in next sc around (16)
  Rnd 3-6: sc in each sc around (16)
  Rnd 7: dec over next 2 sc around (8)
F/O, leave a tail for closing. Add any bits of stuffing needed to finish shaping the egg nicely. Weave tail through the final row and draw up tight to close. Secure and weave in ends.

ASSEMBLY:
  This is real easy to assemble. All you need to do now is cut small squares from white felt and fold them into triangles. Glue them in the egg.
