ASSEMBLE
I recommend pinning the pieces in place before sewing them to make sure you have them in the position you like best before sewing. (Most people like to use the yarn at the end of the finished pieces to sew them in place, but I personally like to use matching thread).
TIP...For anything that I am going to be using felt, I like to first sketch it out on a white paper and make a stencil of what I need. Then cut it out. Then tape the stencil to the felt and cut it out.
Finding the front of the body...this will be the side that has no hdc and dc increases. The increased sections will be placed on the sides and back.
FEET...try to find the position you like best. I place mine between round 17 and 18; approx. 1/2" apart. Only sew the 2 last rows from the feet (the flat area) to the body.
EARS...there is no need to stuff them simply flatten them out. Place the left ear on round 2 and 3. Right ear on round 3 and 4.
ARMS...get a pipe cleaner and fold it so it fits perfectly in the arm. Repeat for the other arm. Finish stuffing the arms with fiberfill.
Place them in the position you like best. I place mine between round 11 and 13.
ARM COVER...wrap it around the arm and sew it in place.
EYES...using white felt make 2 small oval pieces and outline the outer with a black sharpie. Using black felt create 2 tiny circles and place those in the oval pieces. You will be placing the eyes between round 9 and 11; approx. 1.10" apart.
MOUTH...using white felt create rounded teeth. Place them on round 12 and 14 between the eyes. Using black embroidery floss or thread created an outline on the top of the teeth.
ARM SPOTS...using the pink and turqua felt create different shapes. Place them in the position you like best.
STITCHING...using black embroidery floss or thread create the zig-zag stitching in the center of the body.
