PATTERN NOTES - must-read...
Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round/row indicate the total number of stitches.
Always use stitch markers to mark your rounds.
There's no need to sl st and/or ch when going to the next round unless stated to do so.
Always do the 1st stitch where you slip stitch from the previous round.
The chain, in the beginning, does NOT count as one stitch unless stated otherwise.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Invisible join - this VIDEO explains how to do this technique.
Other side of the foundation chains - this VIDEO explains how to do this technique.

BODY/HEAD with yellow
Rnd 1: ch4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3sc in last ch, other side of the foundation chains sc in next ch, 2sc in next ch (8)
Rnd 2: 2sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next st, join to the next st with the invisible join (12)
F/O, secure and weave in ends.

ASSEMBLE
STRIPES…using black felt cut 2 thin stripes and glue them on one side of the body.
STING…using black felt, cut a tiny triangle and glue it to the tip of the back.
EYE…using black felt, make a tiny circle and glue it in place.
WINGS…using white felt make a heart shaped wing and glue it on top of the body. You can play around with the wings and shaped them however you like.
MOUTH…with black embroidery floss, embroider a smile underneath the eye.
ANTENNA…using black embroidery floss or thread, weave through the stitch closest to wing to make antennas. I use glue to harden the thread so it won’t move around.

GLOSSARY:
